Report: Congressional leaders using military G5s for personl use.
Nancy Pelosi was reportedly upset when the G5 that she has come to rely on, wasn’t available for her spring break plans. Apparently the very thing that members of the house accused Newt Gingrich of doing, which forced him to step down from the Speaker’s chair, is old hat in these high falutin times. Apparently we shouldn’t ask Nancy why she is flouting the rules, and using Air Force Hardware for her own pleasure. This is just another example of how ethical the 110th congress has become after the hard work Nancy has put into “Cleaning up Congress.”
Do they not get it? Our country is broke… And Broken. We can’t trust our government, and instead of doing what needs to be done to regain our confidence, they are running amuck in Washington. They don’t have any accountability. If we say anything to them, they literally tell us to mind our own business. Rather than being afraid of an uprising they are planning to take the guns away so we can’t. We are losing our nation. We are losing our principles. This used to be a principled nation. We used to think that America was good. Not because of the government, but because of the people. Where are the people? I’m just one man. I write, and scream, and call my congressman, and my senators, but it all falls on deaf ears. If you agree with me tell me. If you agree with me e-mail me at btriplett74@yahoo.com and we will get together, and we will converse, and we will spread the word.
I’m tired of noone in Washington listening to me. Join me in saying that we are not going to take it anymore. I don’t care whether you are a republican, a democrat, or a libertarian. We are all American, and we desearve to have our voices heard. I want my America back!

Thanks for including the libertarians - most people skip them over.
I feel the act alone of supporting the libertarian cause is a statement that shows that we are fed up. It’s the major reason I am one.
Did you really mean to say “Rather than being afraid of an uprising they are planning to take the guns away so we can’t?” So, you were seriously planning an armed insurrection and some nebulous fear you have about future gun control laws is stopping you? Even the language doesn’t make sense. “Rather than being afraid”, wouldn’t taking guns away indicate their fear? Oh and you say “This used to be a principled nation”, when was that? Back when we were killing Indians because they were in our way, maybe back when we had slaves? What are you talking about? You can scream all you want if you don’t make sense you’re just making noise. Yes, I agree our congress wastes our money, but your partisan babble did little to shed light on that fact. Pretending that it’s only the Democrats who are doing this, is as ignorant as pretending only the Republicans are doing it, HELLO, its both parties. It is precisely this type of partisan bias that protects the system of abuse. Only complain about what the other party is doing, even if your party does the same damn thing. You say you “don’t care whether you are a republican, a democrat, or a libertarian”, then why are you hacking on Pelosi and referring to Gingrich’s abuses as mere accusations? And that hack at CNN who’s report you posted was on the same page as you, pretending that Democrats have some monopoly on spending abuse. Washington doesn’t need to listen to you, you are singing the song that both parties know and love, “the partisan anthem”.
Dsent: This was not a partisan post… Let me explain more in depth, and with greater clarity, so that you can understand this. The constitution of our nation starts out “We the People” for a reason. This is our country, not theirs. The government of this nation is supposed to answer to us. Republicans and democrats alike, have been out of control. Not just with spending, but every kind of power grab imaginable. The dems are in control now, because of the arrogance of the republican party. It seems that now the dems are in control, it’s business as usual.
I wasn’t calling for an armed uprising. I was pointing out that the second amendment, which was designed to put fear into the politician’s mind, is under attack. The declaration of independence clearly states that it is the duty of the people to take up arms against to totalitarian and corrupt government. That fear is not there anymore, and they are running wild in Washington. They are going to squelch gun rights. They have already started on the first amendment, and if they get their way they will subvert the constitution completely. The second amendment has nothing to do with hunting, or sport shooting. It has everything to do with protecting yourself, your family, your property, your state, your country, and yourself from your government if necessary.
As far as Newt is concerned, the charges were found to be untrue, and thrown out of court. He went through a court battle, only after he was forced out of his chair, and the congress. The very people, that were railing against Newt for his alleged improprieties are now doing the very same things. That is called hypocrisy.
The principles that I spoke of have to do with the idea that this nation is good, not because of the government, but because of it’s people. We are a principled people, by in large, and we are a great nation because of it. Even in the hardest of times in this country, the people were the voice of reason. Abolition, the civil rights movement, the Vietnam conflict, were all changed by movements from the grass roots level, not because of the infinite wisdom of the government.
Glenn Beck puts the values, and the principles of this nation in very plain terms.
12 Values
* Honesty
* Reverence
* Hope
* Thrift
* Humility
* Charity
* Sincerity
* Moderation
* Hard Work
* Courage
* Personal Responsibility
* Gratitude
1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
Really, I have to mention the libertarians, because I am one. The republicans, and the dems have lost my confidence. I just wish that the libertarians would pick someone worth voting for.
