Ten things you should know about the evil healthcare system in America.

Published by webdemon at 7:20 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Hot Air linked to an article about the the superior Canadian health-care system, and points out a few facts.

Americans have better survival rates than Europeans for common cancers.

Americans have lower cancer mortality rates than Canadians.

Americans have better access to treatment for chronic diseases than patients in other developed countries.

Americans have better access to preventive cancer screening than Canadians.

Lower-income Americans are in better health than comparable Canadians.

Americans spend less time waiting for care than patients in Canada and the United Kingdom.

People in countries with more government control of health care are highly dissatisfied and believe reform is needed.

Americans are more satisfied with the care they receive than Canadians.

Americans have better access to important new technologies such as medical imaging than do patients in Canada or Britain.

Americans are responsible for the vast majority of all health care innovations.

Say what you want about the US health-care system, but the facts get in the way of the myth that Single Payer health systems around the world are more superior to the US health-Care system.  Are there problems?  Absolutely, but reorganizing the entire system to a model that has absolutely failed around the world is not going to “Fix” it.  It will only make it worse.  If the “Cash For Clunkers” Program ran out of money in the first week, because the politicians in Washington don’t understand  the concept of supply vs demand, how can you think that they can run a health-care program better than the doctors, and the people who go to them to be treated?  We know what the problems are.  Let us fix them.  The political elite can’t run their own houses.  How can we expect them to run our health-care?

The Democrats keep saying that the republicans have no ideas, yet the republican bills get thrown off the floor before they can be introduced for a vote.  The republicans are trying to fix the individual problems.  The bills are thrown out by Nancy and the gang, then they go on TV telling the country that republicans are just the “Party of No”

Now I know what you are going to say, or write, what ever the case.  This is a government insurance option not Single payer.  You are right.  The fact is that Canada’s system started out the same way.  Not to mention the fact that there have been numerous officials, and legislators that have said that this is a meens to an end.  They are pulling the same tricks that Canada played on their folks.  This is about control, not about helping people, or improving the health-care in America.

Barney Frank had this to say about it.

Nancy Pelosi Says that it is the evil insurance companies are making profits.  How dare they.  I mean it’s not like they are in business to stay in business.  Right?  How dare the employ millions of people, or contribute to the economy.  Those bastards.

And, let’s not even get started on those evil doctors who make “Money”  Those ass holes.  What the hell give them the right to spend eight years in college to learn a trade that has the highest turnover rate in the nation, then, if they are actually successful at their job, they expect to get paid well?  Who do they think they are?

Are we all going nuts in this country?  We are bitching about a failing economy, and the very companies that could turn this thing around are being excoriated for earning “Profits” which drive our economy.  What the fuck is wrong with people?  Are you really buying all of Nancy’s  bull shit?  Our economy is driven by profit.  And, so is every other economy on the face of the earth.  That is called growth, and growth means jobs.  Jobs mean less poor people.

These power hungry cretins in Washington are trying to convince you that if you are successful, or if your company actually makes a buck, you are the asshole, and not the people that ran their companies into the ground.  They keep saying that it was the companies that couldn’t make a profit need the bail outs, then turn right around and say that the companies that didn’t need to be bailed out need to be destroyed?

This is about control.  They want to control the failing companies, and destroy the companies they can’t control.

We are running this country right off the rails, and every country that used to look up to us as the model for economic success are now wondering what in the hell we are doing.  We are going to lose the very things we as Americans used to cherish.  Freedom, Liberty, and opportunity are no longer welcome in America, and it’s Obama and his merry band of liberals that are leading us right off the cliff.  I hope you like your new America.  It’s exactly what you voted for when you were duped into voting for a man that, in his own words, wanted to “Fundamentally change America.”  That’s what he’s delivering, and that’s what you will be stuck with.
