Just got back from DC, and wow, what a crowd.
I got back from DC at about 7:00PM and I have to say that it was the best time I have had in a long time. When we got back to the hotel room that evening after the march, we were shocked to find out that there were only tens of thousands of people there. Hmmm. Maybe they didn’t happen to see that Pennsylvania Ave was completely full at 10:30AM, and that there were already people covering the lawn at the capitol.
There are rumors floating around that we trashed the place, yet there were people (Such as my mother) that were picking up trash and making sure that the trash was making it into the proper receptacle.
The people that I talked to were not led there by the ear, or organized into going. We all were there for different reasons, but the message was the same… ENOUGH! I met people from Texas, Florida, and my own mother flew in from Oregon to go to this rally, we were not told to go, or led there on buses, we all have a common message for congress… “Don’t tread on me!”

I took this picture about half way to the capital, and there we were at a slow crawl, because there were about a million people in front of us. There were people already at the entrance to the capitol. The lawn was already full.

I’ll give you a challenge… Add up the people just in this picture… That doesn’t put a dent in the number of people that were there. Click the pic, and you can zoom in a bit and get a good count

Yep this guy is obviously a white supremacist… Spouting on about freedom, liberty, and all of that nonsense.

I would be the fat redneck on the left.
It was actually kind of funny. She had a cigarette in her mouth before the picture was taken, but it fell out just before the picture was shot.
Let me just say that there were police there that estimated the crowd at 1.5 million to 2 million. This is not just your average protest, this was monumental.
FYI There were only a few people removed…
